OUR TERRACE - Your wedding at THE CARRIAGE ROOM presents a wonderful opportunity to add the timeless romance and elegance of a horse drawn carriage to your wedding day. Our large paved terrace area adjacent to the reception room has a Bougainvillea Archway entrance. Chairs and tables are provided for your guests as they await the arrival of the bridal party. Imagine their delight as your carriage slowly approaches along the winding driveway lined with beautiful Bougainvilleas and palms.....a perfect backdrop for photography.

The Arrival of the Bride & Groom

Savouries and pre-dinner drinks are served on the terrace whilst the bridal party are using the magnificent countryside for photographs. During the summer months, tea and coffee may be served after-dinner, which is illuminated with Carriage lights resembling a charming courtyard.

Garden Weddings

GARDEN WEDDINGS - Next to the paved terrace is a lawn and shrubbed garden, the feature of which is a "flower fountain". Beautiful flower baskets and accessories are prepared just for your special day, and late in the afternoon our garden fills with native birds. Chairs are provided for your immediate families, behind which your guests may assemble to view the ceremony.

For the Bride's entrance, a rich red carpet is laid and we can provide a CD deck for musical accompaniment. The gardens are illuminated for the evening with festive lighting to create a special effect. Our fee for a garden wedding is $475.00.

Our special price for a garden ceremony is $275.00 when you hold your reception in The Carriage Room.

ROOM CAPACITY - The Carriage Room has the capacity to seat from 60 to 120 guests. Sixty is the minimum number required for a function. The fee of $625.00 for the room hire includes flower decorations for the room and tables, candles and serviettes in the colour scheme of your choice.

TIME PLANNING - Your function will span five and a half hours, which includes one and a half hours on the terrace for savouries and drinks while photographs are being taken, and four hours for the reception.

Superb Reception Room

ALCOHOL - As we are not licensed, you can supply your own alcohol which is quite a large saving for you. We will use our cold room to chill your drinks at no charge. There is a corkage fee of $3.30 per person.

NON ALCOHOLIC FRUIT PUNCH - For a fee of $3.30 per litre, our home made punch is ideal for the non-drinker.

WAITING STAFF - One drink waiter per 25 guests is required at $17.80 per hour per waiter. Waiters commence 30 minutes prior to the arrival of your guests and leave 30 minutes after your guests' departure.

CHILDREN - The Carriage Room staff will give you every assistance with junior guests. For children under five years, no charge. Children six to eleven years, half price. Full price applies to children from twelve years and over.

BOOKINGS - A deposit of $750.00 is required to make a firm booking for The Carriage Room. This amount is deducted from your total cost payable and is not refundable.

APPOINTMENTS - Three weeks prior to your function, we will arrange to meet the bride's family to confirm details. The final number of guests must be supplied 14 days before the function.

PAYMENT - Progressive payments of $550.00 are required six months and then at three months prior to the wedding with the balance to be paid 14 days before the function.
